Are you interested in working in the lab? Typical tasks include recruiting participants, conducting one-on-one data collection sessions with children, entering data, transcribing videos, and reading scientific papers.
Each semester, applications are collected and interviews are scheduled for open positions. You may either elect to take a 3-credit course or to volunteer. If you are accepted for the course, you will be required to give a poster presentation at the end of each semester. You will also be required to read journal articles and attend general lab meetings. If you are a volunteer, these tasks will be optional. If selected, this requires a two-semester commitment and 10 hours of work per week in the lab, regardless of whether you are taking the course credit or not.
We will be running studies for parents and children in the future and would be happy to contact you, if you’re eligible for one. Please fill out the form below, and the childhood development labs at IU will contact you if your child becomes eligible for a study!
